For
almost 50 years now, the Khartoum American School has provided a
high-quality educational program for American students as well
as for students from scores of other nations. Over the years,
the school’s program has grown to include a full,
Kindergarten-grade 12 sequence and we are proud to have
graduated a number of students who are now attending colleges
and universities in the USA and Canada as well as in Asia and
Africa.I have come to Khartoum with experience in a number of US-independent schools as well as more recent experience in three outstanding international schools: the Cairo American College (Egypt), the Anglo-American School of Moscow (Russia), and the Nishimachi International School (Japan. I have been a high school teacher and an administrator at every level of the K-12 educational spectrum. It is a real pleasure to be back in this part of the world and I am looking forward to guiding the school towards its 50th Anniversary and beyond. There are many preconceived notions – as well as many misconceptions – about life in a place like Khartoum. One thing that we here at KAS can promise, however, is that ours will be a warm and welcoming environment for our students. Our goal is to be a student-centered school where students grow through an understanding of the world around them. We have an excellent team of experienced teachers who are all dedicated to providing the very best education possible. Our curriculum and program will continue to evolve to reflect the most current research-based methods and the best practices of our profession. Backed by our years of experience and accredited by US-based accrediting institutions, KAS is recognized world-wide as an institution of quality. If you and your family is contemplating a move to Khartoum, rest assured that ours is a school that stands ready to welcome you and to offer students the chance to learn and grow with us.
