Welcome from the superintendent |

As you browse through our website, we hope you’ll get a feel for what has made our school a leader in international education in Khartoum for almost 50 years. This year at KAS over 220 students from 40 different nations are taught by enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified teachers in an enriched academic environment with an inquiry-based curriculum. From the time that our youngest students enter the Nursery class at 2 years of age until they graduate from our High School, they receive a first-rate education which is the foundation for life-long learning. At every stage, our teachers are sensitive to the developmental and social needs of their students while at the same time offering them an appropriately challenging academic program. Our High School graduates have been accepted to some of the finest universities in North America, the Middle East and Asia. Parents and students alike comment constantly on the warm and friendly spirit that has come to characterize the KAS experience. Ours is a school that invites active participation from the parents of our students. Indeed, our School Board is made up almost completely of parents elected each year by the General Meeting of parents. We encourage parents to share their talents with the school as members of Board committees, as volunteers in our Library, as extra chaperones on school field trips, or at special events throughout the year like the International Pot Luck, or the KAS Carnival. If you are looking for a truly international school committed to providing the very best education for all its students, then you need to look no further. We welcome you to visit our campus to see and feel for yourself all that makes Khartoum American School the vibrant international school that it is. Sincerely, Phil Clinton Philip L. Clinton |
